Former two-division UFC champion Conor McGregor is returning to the octagon at UFC 329 after five years.

His opponent will be Max Holloway.

The fight will headline UFC 329, which will take place on the night of July 11-12 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Conor McGregor's opponent will be former featherweight champion Max Holloway. The bout will be at welterweight (up to 77 kg) and will be a rematch. Their first meeting in 2013 ended with McGregor's victory by unanimous decision.

"Long absence. Injury. Lifestyle. I understand all that. Well, let's go. On Saturday night we'll come out and shut everyone up again. Everything is going up again. Money is coming in," the athlete said at the media day.

The last time McGregor fought was in July 2021 against Dustin Poirier. Then, a few seconds before the end of the round, McGregor awkwardly twisted his left leg, after which he fell and was unable to get up.
