CBA revokes license of AtaSığorta
The Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) has revoked the license of the insurance company AtaSığorta OJSC.
As reported to Report by the CBA, the decision was made based on a voluntary application from the insurer.
"In accordance with Article 107.1.1 of the Law 'On Insurance Activity,' based on the voluntary application, the license No. 000300 dated November 10, 2009, issued to AtaSığorta Open Joint Stock Company (the Company) for conducting insurance activities, has been revoked by the decision of the CBA Board on April 17, 2026," the statement reads.
The regulator notes that the revocation of AtaSığorta's license does not pose any threat to the financial sustainability and stability of the insurance sector.
The liquidation process will be under the control of the Central Bank within the framework of Azerbaijani legislation.
