In Iran, women take up arms – VIDEO
Iran has begun training civilian volunteers as part of the nationwide Janfada-ye Iran campaign.
Participants are being taught basic military skills and how to act in emergency situations. Women are also taking part in the activities.
The training is organized by the "Basij" structures with the participation of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
Iranian organizers had earlier announced plans to form and train around a thousand volunteer units.
