"Absolute lie." Khabib Nurmagomedov responded to UFC head about reasons for ending career
The 37-year-old renowned Russian fighter and former UFC champion, now a member of the promotion's Hall of Fame, the undefeated Khabib Nurmagomedov responded to the words of the league head Dana White that he ended his career because he earned a lot of money.
"I sometimes read headlines on the internet, of course I am not a fan of commenting on every piece of trash on the internet, but when Dana says such things, it spreads everywhere. I will say this: this is an absolute lie, no one has ever given me these millions, and what is written that I left the sport because I earned a lot of money is also untrue. The whole world knows the real truth — I have already spoken about this more than once, and there is no need to repeat it," Khabib wrote on his personal page on one of the social networks.
Khabib Nurmagomedov fought 29 bouts during his mixed martial arts career, winning all 29 of them. Thirteen of his victories were in the UFC. Khabib fought his last bout in 2020, defeating American Justin Gaethje.
