Azerbaijan wrestling team wins 7 medals at U-17 world championship in Baku

The U-17 World Wrestling Championship has concluded in Baku.

As AZƏRTAC reports, the Azerbaijan national team finished the home tournament with 7 medals.

Earlier in Greco-Roman wrestling competitions, silver medals were won by Ali Javadli (45 kg), Abdurrahman Huseynli (51 kg) and Isfahan Gasanov (80 kg), while Omar Salmanov (48 kg), Elmir Cherkazov (60 kg) and Orkhan Khabibli (65 kg) became bronze medalists. On the final day of the competition, the national team's medal tally was added to by freestyle wrestler Ibrahim Gasanov, who won a silver medal in the under 51 kg weight category.
