The draw for the Azerbaijan Football Cup has taken place
The draw for the 2026/27 season of the Azerbaijan Football Cup took place today.
As azerisport.com reports, following the ceremony held at Baku's Holiday INN hotel, the clubs learned their first and potential opponents in their opening stages. Overall, let us recall, 34 clubs are taking part in the new edition of the Cup.
1st qualifying round

Shamkir – Agstafa Ganjlari
Difai – Zangezur
2nd qualifying round
Karvan-Yevlakh – winner of the Difai – Zangezur tie
Mingachevir – Gabala
Sabail – Zira
Kapaz – Baku Sporting
MOIK – Shahdag-Gusar
Zagatala – winner of the Marafon – Dinamo tie
Khankendi – Ganjabasar
Shimal – Araz-Nakhchivan
Sumgayit – winner of the Shirvan – Kur-Araz tie
Imishli – winner of the Qaradag-Lokbatan – Sheki tie
Shamakhi – winner of the Agdash – Hypers tie

Sabah – winner of the tie involving Imishli
Karabakh – winner of the tie involving Sumgayit

Neftchi – winner of the tie involving Shafa
The first matches of the Cup will be held on October 7-8.
It is also worth noting that Sabah, the reigning winner of the tournament, and Karabakh are in the same bracket, while TT and Neftchi are in the other. Thus, these two pairs will be able to meet each other only in the semifinals.
The Cup final will be held on May 12 in Ganja.
