Moroccan citizen tried to fly from Baku to France but was arrested

A foreigner who tried to travel to France on a forged passport has been detained in Azerbaijan.

As 1news.az reports citing Oxu.Az, the incident occurred at the Baku airport.

Errazyky Al Huseyn, a citizen of the Kingdom of Morocco, obtained a forged passport for the purpose of illegally traveling to France and decided to go there in transit through Turkey and Azerbaijan. After spending several days in Baku, he bought a ticket to France and arrived at the airport again. During an inspection at the checkpoint, it emerged that he intended to travel abroad using a fake document, after which he was detained.

A criminal case was opened over the incident, and Errazyky Al Huseyn was placed under arrest as a measure of restraint.

By decision of the Khazar District Court, Errazyky Al Huseyn was sentenced to 7 months of imprisonment.
