Criminal past of victim in crash with Arzum999 comes to light

New details have emerged in the case of TikToker Ilduza Gadzhieva (Arzum999), convicted in a fatal crash in Myardakan.

Documents have been published online indicating that Amal Melikov, who died in the accident, had previously faced criminal charges.

According to 1news.az, Azerbaijani journalist Ganira Atashova, who lives in the United States, published materials showing Melikov’s prior convictions.

The documents indicate that in 2021 he was found guilty in a hooliganism case. The materials note that Melikov was involved in a conflict accompanied by a breach of public order and the use of violence.

In addition, in 2022 he was convicted under Article 234.1 of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan in a case involving illegal drug trafficking. According to the investigation, 2.262 grams of heroin were found in his possession. The court sentenced him to 1 year and 6 months in prison and ordered compulsory treatment for drug addiction.

Recall that Ilduza Gadzhieva was sentenced to 5 years and 2 months in prison in the case of the crash that occurred in June 2025 in the settlement of Myardakan in the Khazar district. As a result of the accident, Amal Melikov died and another victim, Sanubar Muradova, was injured.

According to the investigation, after the incident Gadzhieva left the scene of the crash. She was charged under Articles 263.2 and 264 of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan.
