FIFA President Gianni Infantino expressed his gratitude to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev.
The 56-year-old official wrote about this on his Instagram page.
«It was an honor for me to meet in Baku with the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev. I thanked the President for the support provided to FIFA, as well as for hosting the World Cup and the U-15 festival, which will be held for the first time in history.
The President of Azerbaijan perfectly understands the role of football in terms of creating opportunities for young people and uniting communities. I am glad to feel the support of President Ilham Aliyev in continuing football development projects together with the Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan», the post states.
