Modric decides to end his career

Milan midfielder Luka Modric will announce the end of his professional career after the 2026 World Cup.

This is reported by journalist and insider Nicolo Schira on the social network X.

In September, the Croatian footballer will turn 41 years old. It was previously reported that Modric will not extend his contract with Milan and will leave the team in the summer. In the near future, the footballer will go with the national team to the final World Cup in his career.

Modric joined Milan in the summer of 2025 as a free agent. In the past season with Milan, the midfielder scored two goals and provided three assists in 37 matches. The player's contract with the Rossoneri runs until June 30, 2026. The player's estimated value, according to the Transfermarkt website, is €4 million.

Previously, the footballer played for Real, Tottenham, Dynamo Zagreb, Inter Zapresic, and HSK Zrinjski Mostar.
