EU to demand expulsion of a number of Iranian military attaches
EU authorities plan to impose sanctions against a number of Iranian military attaches in community countries and demand their expulsion.
This was reported by the Euractiv portal citing an internal document.
According to its data, the possible restrictions are related to the fact that several military representatives of the Islamic Republic are allegedly linked to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC, elite units of the Iranian Armed Forces).
On January 29, the head of European diplomacy, Kaja Kallas, reported on X that EU foreign ministers "have taken a decisive step by recognizing the IRGC as a terrorist organization."
