The trial of citizens of the Republic of Armenia continued on September 22 at the Baku Military Court with the reading of documents related to the case.

According to AZERTAC, one of the documents concerned the heavy shelling of the villages of Malibeyli and Gushchular in the Shusha district in February 1992. The villages were attacked with both large- and small-caliber weapons, as well as heavy military equipment. As a result, 12 people were killed and three went missing in Malibeyli, while four were killed and nine taken hostage in Gushchular.

Another document examined during the session described the shooting of a LAZ-brand bus in the Khojavend district on September 8, 1991, near the Kish village farm. The bus came under fire from armed Armenians using automatic rifles, leaving seven people dead at the scene and wounding 27 others.

The trial continues against citizens of the Republic of Armenia, who are accused of crimes against peace and humanity arising from Armenia’s military aggression, including war crimes, the planning and conduct of an aggressive war, genocide, violations of the laws and customs of war, as well as terrorism, the financing of terrorism, the violent seizure and retention of power, and numerous other crimes.
