EU Sanctions Hit Azerbaijani-Origin Oil Traders Over Support for Kremlin’s Shadow Fleet
On December 9, 2025, the next presentation ceremony of the innovative book project “Revival of Karabakh: The Story of Azerbaijan’s Renaissance”, commissioned by the Karabakh Revival Fund, was held.
The event, hosted at the Baku Book Center, brought together state and government officials, donors and partners of the Fund, family members of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the Motherland, Karabakh war veterans, former IDPs, deminers, writers, media representatives, and prominent public figures.
The ceremony began with the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan, followed by a moment of silence in honor of the martyrs who gave their lives for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Motherland.
Delivering the welcoming remarks, the Director of the Baku Book Center, Gunel Anargizi, noted that the publication will play an important role in conveying the truths of Karabakh to a wide audience and will serve as a credible source of information for readers. She expressed confidence that the book will attract strong public interest and emphasized the Center’s readiness to support initiatives of this nature.
Opening the event, Chairman of the Executive Board of the Karabakh Revival Fund, Rahman Hajiyev, delivered a keynote speech in which he provided extensive information about the importance of the book and the process of its preparation.
It was noted that the book offers a comprehensive insight into the history of Karabakh, the period of occupation, liberation, the ongoing reconstruction process, and the vision for the future — combining text, photographs, interviews with officials, state representatives, and experts, as well as the memories of those displaced from their native lands:
“Covering nearly 500 pages, ‘Revival of Karabakh: The Story of Azerbaijan’s Renaissance’ is not just a book — it is a chronicle enriched with text, photographs, and interactive digital materials, vividly bringing to life the story of Karabakh’s revival in all its colors,” he added.
It was highlighted that “Revival of Karabakh: The Story of Azerbaijan’s Renaissance” is a component of a special digital ecosystem created within the framework of the project. Hundreds of QR codes placed throughout the book allow readers to access materials available on the project website, www.book.revival.az, and other online resources, including expanded photo galleries, full video and text versions of exclusive interviews, historical literature, and additional content.
It was also noted that by visiting the online store at https://book.revival.az/estore/ and making a donation to the Fund, readers can obtain any edition of the book in various formats (including Classic, Prestige, and Signature Collection).
Another element of the ecosystem is the AI-powered guide “Zafar AI”, designed in the form of a Phoenix, which provides readers with extensive information about the book’s content and, more broadly, about the history of Karabakh and East Zangezur, the occupation, and the ongoing revival.
These features take the publication beyond the classical book format, transforming it into a dynamic, interactive, and innovative project adapted to the reading habits of modern generations.
Rahman Hajiyev noted that the purpose of preparing the book is to convey to the international community the realities of Karabakh, as well as the large-scale reconstruction and development efforts carried out under the leadership of the Victorious Commander-in-Chief, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, in the liberated territories.
Former Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan and prominent public and political figure, Hasan Hasanov, also spoke at the event, emphasizing that “Revival of Karabakh: The Story of Azerbaijan’s Renaissance”, which also includes his reflections, is a substantial work encompassing numerous topics related to Karabakh. Sharing his impressions about the book’s author, Graeme Wilson, Hasan Hasanov linked the high quality of the publication to the author’s deep affection for Azerbaijan.
This was followed by the video presentation of the book and the screening of the video “From Tragedy to Triumph,” dedicated to the revival and reconstruction of the liberated territories.
