Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan and Pakistan Discuss Rising Tensions in the Middle East
A telephone conversation took place between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, and the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Mohammad Ishaq Dar.
As reported by 1news.az from the Press Service Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Azerbaijan, the ministers exchanged views on the military escalation and growing tensions observed in the Middle East region.
Emphasizing the impact of the current situation on regional and global security, the parties highlighted the importance of adhering to humanitarian law, protecting civilians and infrastructure, and resolving issues based on the norms and principles of international law through dialogue and diplomatic means. The Pakistani side also provided information on the current situation regarding clashes on the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.
During the telephone conversation, the current state and prospects for further development of the strategic partnership relations between Azerbaijan and Pakistan were also discussed.
