Masoud Pezeshkian Calls Ilham Aliyev
On March 8, the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Masoud Pezeshkian, called the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev.
President Masoud Pezeshkian thanked the head of our state for visiting the Iranian embassy in Azerbaijan and expressing condolences over the death of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, and many civilians, as well as for the intention to provide humanitarian assistance to Iran.
Stating that the incident involving the aerial shelling of Nakhchivan has no connection to Iran, Masoud Pezeshkian emphasized that the matter will be investigated.
President Ilham Aliyev once again conveyed condolences for the loss of a large number of civilians during the recent events in Iran.
The head of our state stressed the importance of investigating the incident that occurred in Nakhchivan.
During the telephone conversation, the heads of state exchanged views on the prospects for the development of joint economic projects.
