Erdogan: Ankara and Baku Maintain Regular Contact
Turkey maintains regular contact with Azerbaijan, as well as with allies in the region.
As reported by Report, this was stated by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan during a meeting of his cabinet.
"We are constantly in touch with Azerbaijan, which is dear to our hearts, and with whom we operate under the slogan 'One nation - two states,' as well as with other brotherly countries in the region," Erdogan said.
He also reminded that Ankara closely monitors the activities of terrorist groups in the region on a minute-by-minute basis.
In light of the situation in the Middle East, Turkey has deployed six F-16 fighter jets and air defense systems to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus to protect the island, Erdogan reported.
