Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan and Turkey Discuss Escalation in the Middle East

The Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, and his Turkish counterpart, Hakan Fidan, held a telephone conversation to exchange views on the growing tensions in the Middle East.

As reported by 1news.az, citing the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the parties discussed the military-political situation in the region and security risks, emphasizing the unacceptability of the regional escalation spreading to a wider geography.

The ministers highlighted the importance of resolving issues through diplomatic means based on the norms and principles of international law and maintaining stability in the region, stating that ensuring the safety of civilians and civilian infrastructure is a priority.

It was noted that the strategic alliance between Azerbaijan and Turkey gains even greater significance amidst existing challenges.

During the telephone conversation, the ministers also exchanged views on other matters of mutual interest.
