Mishustin Thanks Azerbaijan for Assistance in Evacuating Russians from Iran
On March 3, a telephone conversation took place between the Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ali Asadov, and the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, Mikhail Mishustin.
As reported by AZERTAC in the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers, during the telephone conversation, current issues of Azerbaijani-Russian trade and economic cooperation were discussed. The positive dynamics of trade turnover growth were noted, and issues related to the implementation of joint projects in various areas of mutual interest were reviewed.
During the conversation, the Russian side expressed gratitude to the leadership of Azerbaijan for the assistance provided in the prompt evacuation of citizens of the Russian Federation from the Islamic Republic of Iran amid a challenging regional situation.
The heads of government emphasized the importance of the visit of the Russian government delegation, led by the Deputy Chairman of the Government, to Baku the previous day, and welcomed the agreement to hold the next meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation in Azerbaijan in April of this year.
Taking the opportunity, Ali Asadov congratulated Mikhail Mishustin on his 60th anniversary, wishing him further success in his state activities.
