Macron Expresses Support for Azerbaijan in Phone Call with Ilham Aliyev Regarding Iran Attacks
On March 8, the President of the French Republic, Emmanuel Macron, called the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev.
President Macron expressed his country's solidarity with Azerbaijan and its support in connection with the aerial attack by Iran on Azerbaijan.
Emmanuel Macron also thanked the head of our state for the conditions created for the evacuation of French citizens in Iran through Azerbaijan.
President Ilham Aliyev expressed gratitude for the phone call and the demonstrated solidarity.
During the phone conversation, there was an exchange of views on strengthening peace in the South Caucasus region and resuming Azerbaijani-French bilateral relations, as well as discussions on issues related to the prospects for cooperation.
