Vladimir Putin expressed gratitude to the head of our state for the prompt assistance in evacuating Russian citizens from the Islamic Republic of Iran, as well as for the conditions created for the delivery of humanitarian aid sent by his country to Iran through Azerbaijani territory.
During the telephone conversation, the leaders emphasized the importance of a swift cessation of hostilities in the Middle East region and the resolution of the conflict through political and diplomatic means.
The heads of state discussed current issues on the bilateral agenda. They confirmed a mutual commitment to the further development of Russian-Azerbaijani cooperation in various fields based on the principles of strategic partnership and alliance.
