Russian Foreign Ministry grateful to Azerbaijan for assistance in delivering humanitarian aid to Iran
The Russian side is grateful to the authorities of Azerbaijan for their assistance in delivering humanitarian aid to Iran, stated Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, during a briefing.
The diplomat noted that Russia continues to provide humanitarian assistance to the population of Iran, which is subjected daily to brutal indiscriminate airstrikes by Israel and the United States. She recalled that the delivery of a second large batch of medications took place on March 27 in Astara, on the Iranian-Azerbaijani border, where over 300 tons of medicinal drugs were transported by rail. On the same day, a convoy of trucks brought an additional approximately 150 tons of humanitarian aid to Astara, collected by the Republic of Dagestan.
"We are grateful to the authorities of Azerbaijan for the assistance provided," Zakharova noted.
