Azerbaijan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs once again highlights the threat posed by minefields.
Landmines continue to claim lives in Azerbaijan.
On April 14, an employee of the Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) was killed after triggering an anti-tank mine in the Fuzuli district, in the village of Ashaghy Abdurrahmanli. We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, loved ones, and colleagues," the ministry stated in its publication.
"This tragedy is a stark reminder of the ongoing human cost of the mine threat and the danger faced daily by those working to make the liberated territories safe," the Azerbaijani MFA noted.
It is emphasized that since the end of the 2020 war, 422 Azerbaijani citizens have fallen victim to mines.
"There is an urgent need to strengthen international support for comprehensive demining efforts," the Azerbaijani MFA declared.
