Azerbaijani parliament proposes suspension of inter-parliamentary groups with Belgium and the Netherlands

The Milli Majlis has proposed suspending the activities of working groups on inter-parliamentary relations with Belgium and the Netherlands.

This was stated by MP Elchin Mirzabayli during today's plenary session of the parliament.

He condemned the biased resolutions of the parliaments of these countries concerning Azerbaijan.

Mirzabayli noted that these documents are based neither on legal norms nor on the real situation in the region.

"These documents, being an example of political manipulation, simultaneously represent another manifestation of a selective and hypocritical approach to the principles of international law, overt bias, and political aggression. Despite references in the resolutions to the principles of sovereignty and territorial integrity, they put forward completely unfounded claims about the alleged occupation of Armenian territories by Azerbaijan, which clearly reveals the biased nature of these documents. This is not just a contradiction, but a deliberate distortion of facts," the MP said.
