Azerbaijan welcomes ceasefire between the US and Iran

Azerbaijan welcomes the announced ceasefire between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran, as stated in a message from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan.

We highly appreciate the efforts of all parties who acted as mediators in reaching the ceasefire agreement.

We hope that this truce will contribute to reducing tensions in the region, as well as establishing lasting peace and stability,” the Azerbaijani foreign policy department emphasized.

Official Baku calls on the parties to engage in “productive dialogue aimed at resolving existing issues and establishing mutual trust.”

“Azerbaijan is always ready to support initiatives aimed at strengthening sustainable peace, security, and cooperation in the region,” the statement concluded.
