Prime ministers of Azerbaijan and Lithuania hold meeting in Baku - PHOTO
On April 9, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ali Asadov, met with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Lithuania, Inga Ruginienė, who is on an official visit to our country.
As reported by AZERTAC from the Cabinet of Ministers, during the meeting, the current state and prospects for the development of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Lithuania in political, economic, transport, energy, and other spheres were discussed.
The parties expressed satisfaction with the successful development of relations between the two countries and emphasized the presence of favorable opportunities for further expansion of interaction in areas of mutual interest.
Special attention was paid to the issues of deepening cooperation in the economic sphere, increasing trade turnover, and promoting investment opportunities. In this context, the importance of the activities of the intergovernmental commission was highlighted.
Prospects for cooperation in the transport and logistics sectors, as well as opportunities for expanding interaction in the Middle Corridor and other international transport routes, were discussed.
The focus was also on opportunities for cooperation in the energy sector.
In addition, the parties discussed issues of cooperation within international organizations and emphasized the importance of developing Azerbaijan's relations with the European Union.
