Azerbaijan approves procedure for issuing permits for building placement in airport safety zones

In Azerbaijan, the procedure for coordinating the placement of buildings, structures, and objects in the safety zones of airports and aerodromes has been approved.

As reported by Trend, the relevant decree was signed by the Prime Minister of Azerbaijan, Ali Asadov.

According to the decision, this procedure defines the requirements for coordinating the placement of buildings, structures, and objects, the construction of which in the safety zones of airports and aerodromes requires permission: for civil aviation, coordination is carried out by the State Civil Aviation Agency under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, and for state aviation, by the Ministry of Defense.

To ensure the safety of aircraft flights, operators of certified airports (or aerodromes), including new airports (or aerodromes), develop fencing schemes (maps) that define the safety zones of airports and aerodromes.

After the development of fencing schemes, they are submitted for approval to the relevant authorities within 5 (five) days.

The fencing schemes (maps) approved by the relevant authorities are submitted to the State Committee for Urban Planning and Architecture for the administrative territories of cities and districts within the economic regions of the city of Baku, Karabakh, and East Zangezur, to local executive authorities for other administrative-territorial units, and to the State Housing Construction Agency in connection with construction projects carried out on land plots under the disposal of this agency during the period of its disposal, to ensure the Agency sends the request mentioned in the previous point.
