Ali Asadov: Climate change significantly impacts the shallowing of the Caspian Sea
One of the most pressing challenges facing our region is the rapid decline in the level of the Caspian Sea.
As reported by AZERTAC, this was stated by Prime Minister Ali Asadov during his speech at the Regional Environmental Summit in Astana.
"At the initiative of Azerbaijan, bilateral working groups have been established with Kazakhstan, Russia, and Turkmenistan to study the causes of the Caspian Sea's declining level and to develop appropriate response measures. Climate change also has a significant impact on the shallowing of the Caspian. In Azerbaijan, consistent measures are being taken to minimize the negative effects of climate change on the environment of the Caspian Sea," the Prime Minister noted.
