Balanced foreign policy opened Armenia access to world arms market, Pashinyan claims
Armenia's balanced foreign policy course allowed the republic to gain full access to international arms markets and critical technologies, said Republic Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in a video address on his Facebook page.
According to the head of government, the diversification of the defense sector and the building of a new balance of power should occur as smoothly and thoughtfully as possible so that the processes remain manageable and do not provoke harsh retaliatory measures from other geopolitical players.
As the main practical result of such diplomacy, Pashinyan cited the military parade held in Yerevan on May 28, where military equipment from seven countries was demonstrated, as well as samples of weapons created by Armenia's own military-industrial complex. The prime minister particularly emphasized that the integration of advanced technologies into domestic defense production became possible thanks to delicate diplomatic work. The establishment of a strategic partnership with the U.S., which, according to Pashinyan, has already borne tangible fruit, played a crucial role in obtaining export licenses and implementing these technologies.
