Ikram Aliskerov: 'I couldn't even imagine that Baku is such a beautiful, huge and clean city'

"I have already been to Baku a couple of years ago, but then I came for just one day. I couldn't even imagine that such a beautiful, huge and clean city is so close.
As the correspondent of 1news.az reports, this was stated by Russian fighter Ikram Aliskerov, who became the winner of the fight at the UFC Fight Night tournament held at the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku, answering journalists' questions."

According to the fighter, his opponent did not stop, constantly went forward and threw dangerous, heavy blows. In such a situation, the main task was to take the victory in any available way, so he had to adapt and act more carefully.

Besides the sports component, Aliskerov shared his impressions of the capital of Azerbaijan:
"You know, I have already been to Baku a couple of years ago, but then I came for just one day, and I had no time at all. This time the city really and very pleasantly surprised me. Honestly, I couldn't even imagine that such a beautiful, huge and clean city is so close. They also say that the food here is incredibly delicious and there are excellent restaurants. But since I was on a strict diet before the fight, I haven't had time to try anything yet. I hope that tomorrow I will finally be able to taste the local cuisine," noted I. Aliskerov.
