U.S. and Iran exchanged missile strikes last night

At night, American troops struck with a missile an empty oil tanker flying the flag of Botswana, heading to the port of the Iranian island of Khark.

Central Command of the USA (CENTCOM) stated that as part of the naval blockade, it disabled the tanker by firing a Hellfire missile into the ship's engine room, which prevented its arrival in Iran".

Later, the US Central Command reported that the US, “for self-defense purposes,” attacked the Iranian island of Qeshm and shot down several Iranian missiles and drones;

In the IRGC, it was stated that US military bases located in Kuwait were attacked "in response to aggression directed against Iran's national sovereignty on Qeshm Island." It was reported, in particular, about strikes on the American airbase and helicopter base in Kuwait and the headquarters of the US Fifth Fleet in Bahrain.

Footage of explosions appeared with claims that Iran attacked the largest American base Arifjan and Ali Al Salem airbase in Kuwait.

Air attack warnings sounded in Saudi Arabia and the UAE; these countries, as well as Kuwait and Bahrain, closed their airspace. The Kuwaiti Ministry of Defense reported repelling a missile-drone attack.

The US denied the success of Iranian strikes on the US Fifth Fleet headquarters in Bahrain and the airbase in Kuwait. Later it was stated that a new wave of Iranian drones on the base in Kuwait also failed to hit the intended targets.
