World War II participants to receive one-time financial assistance
President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has signed a Decree on providing one-time financial assistance to participants of World War II in 1941-1945, widows of fallen or subsequently deceased soldiers, and individuals awarded orders and medals for selfless labor in the rear.

The head of state has decided, on the occasion of the 81st anniversary of Victory in World War II, to provide one-time financial assistance in the amount of 2,750 manats to participants of the war in 1941-1945, and in the amount of 1,500 manats to widows of soldiers who died in the Great Patriotic War or passed away later, individuals awarded orders and medals for selfless labor in the rear during 1941-1945, workers of special formations who carried out tasks in the interests of the army and navy in the rear of fighting fronts or in operational zones of fighting fleets during World War II, individuals awarded the corresponding medal and badge for the defense of Leningrad during World War II, as well as participants in the blockade of Leningrad.
For this purpose, 3 million manats are allocated from the President's Reserve Fund.
