At least seven people killed in shooting in northern US
At least seven people, including the suspect, were killed in a shooting in the American city of Muscatine (Iowa state).
Police believe the cause may have been a domestic conflict, reported the local law enforcement department, reports TASS.
"Preliminary data indicate that the shooting was the result of a family conflict. It is assumed that all victims are relatives of the deceased suspect," the statement says.
According to police, at approximately 12:12 local time (21:12 Baku time), law enforcement received information about the shooting and upon arrival at the scene discovered the bodies of four people. The murder suspect was identified as 52-year-old Ryan McFarland, who had already left the crime scene. He was found on the river embankment with a gunshot wound, which he presumably inflicted on himself. The suspect died from his injuries.
Subsequently, police discovered the bodies of two more victims, who may be other victims of the perpetrator. Investigative bodies are conducting an investigation and establishing possible causes of what happened.
