Azerbaijani president awarded honorary doctorate title from Kyiv university
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has been awarded the title of honorary doctor of the Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture.
As reported by Report to the Ministry of Science and Education of Azerbaijan, university rector Alexey Dniprov visited the ministry as part of a delegation visit to Azerbaijan to participate in the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku.
During the meeting, Dniprov stated that by decision of the university's Academic Council, the president of Azerbaijan was awarded the title of honorary doctor.
According to him, the head of state was awarded this high title for his contribution to the development of modern education, science, and the urban planning sphere in Azerbaijan, as well as for efforts to strengthen Ukrainian-Azerbaijani relations.
The honorary diploma was handed over to the deputy minister of science and education of Azerbaijan.
As part of the meeting, the parties also discussed issues of establishing cooperation between higher educational institutions of Azerbaijan and Ukraine, as well as expanding interaction in the field of education.
