Treasure hunter discovers 59 Soviet artillery shells from World War II in a forest in Berlin.
The newspaper Bild reported this.
According to its information, the man was searching for military relics in the forest in the capital's Pankow district using a metal detector. When the device went off, he started digging and came across a rusty shell. The man immediately reported this to the police, who cordoned off the area where the dangerous find was discovered.
In total, 59 Soviet 122 mm caliber shells with a total weight of 1.5 tons were dug up. The ammunition was transported to a safe place where it will be destroyed.
