Media: Gaza peace council meeting to be held in Cyprus from June 30 to July 1

The meeting of the Gaza Peace Council will take place in Cyprus from June 30 to July 1.

This was reported by the English-language information portal In-Cyprus, citing the official representative of the Cypriot government with the rank of minister, Konstantinos Letymbiotis.

"I can tell you that the Peace Council was created to implement the Gaza reconstruction plan in accordance with UN resolution 2803, which the Republic of Cyprus not only welcomed but also supported from the very first moment," the portal quotes the government official as saying. Letymbiotis noted that the council will meet in Cyprus on June 30 and July 1.

According to him, among the participants of the forum will be representatives of the Peace Council, the National Committee for the Administration of Gaza (NCAG) and the office of the High Representative of the Peace Council Nikolai Mladenov. Some officials who will take part in the meeting have already requested meetings with the Cypriot Foreign Minister, he added.
