Media: Britain and Poland prepare agreement on strengthening defense
Britain and Poland will sign a new agreement to expand military cooperation aimed at strengthening defense amid threats in Europe.
This is reported by Reuters citing statements from Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk.
According to Tusk, Warsaw seeks to bring relations with London to the highest possible level, paying special attention to security issues and protection from external threats.
The British government clarified that the document, which is planned to be signed on May 27, is aimed at strengthening defense cooperation amid “growing hostile threats across Europe.”
Poland has previously concluded similar agreements with France and Germany.
Separately, it is noted that European Commissioner for Defense Andrius Kubilius called on European Union countries to more actively use their weapons stocks to support Ukraine.
