Two people killed in India as a result of tiger attack
A man and a woman were killed as a result of a tiger attack in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.
The Times of India newspaper reported this on Tuesday.
According to its information, on June 14 the animal attacked a 60-year-old farmer near the village of Ramnagar in Kheri district of Uttar Pradesh, and the next day the tiger ate a 50-year-old woman who lived in a neighboring village.
Representatives of the state's forestry department, whose words are quoted by the newspaper, suggested that the attacks were committed by the same tiger. At the moment, forest teams have installed two bait cages and at least six camera traps to track the animal's movement.
The Times of India notes that this is already the sixth case of human death from attacks by wild cats registered in the northern forest district of Kheri district over the past two months.
