As 1news.az reports, this was written on the social network X by assistant to the president of Azerbaijan — head of the department for foreign policy issues of the presidential administration Hikmet Hajiyev.
He reported on a productive meeting with his Romanian counterpart Marius Lazurca:
"Reaffirming the strategic partnership and traditional friendship between Azerbaijan and Romania, we discussed the opportunities for further deepening our bilateral ties. As an EU member state geographically closest to the South Caucasus, Romania occupies an important place in our interaction. We exchanged views on the prospects for advancing cooperation in the political, economic, energy, defense, cultural, humanitarian, and other spheres. We agreed to continue our active dialogue in the sphere of politics and security."
