Simonyan: Events Around Iran Do Not Threaten TRIPP Project
The events unfolding around Iran and in the Middle East do not pose a danger to the TRIPP project.
This was stated by the Speaker of the Armenian Parliament, Alen Simonyan, during a conversation with journalists at the National Assembly.
"We deeply regret the casualties that are taking place and hope that these events will not last long. After all, this is happening directly with our neighbor, which cannot but concern us. At the same time, we understand that this is a very significant geopolitical issue and perhaps even one of the largest wars, which, thank God, is not connected to us in any way. And we hope that this will not affect Armenia's interests in any manner," Simonyan said.
The Chairman of the National Assembly also considers it a very positive circumstance that, against the backdrop of the war, Armenia and Azerbaijan have managed to "jointly outline the contours of peace."
Speaking about the challenges facing Armenia in the context of these events, the head of the parliament emphasized that Yerevan needs to distance itself from all of this. "It is necessary to shield the Republic of Armenia from any process that could jeopardize the peace process," Simonyan is convinced.
