A U.S. military transport plane has landed in Moscow
A U.S. Boeing C-17A Globemaster III military transport plane has landed in Moscow.
This is indicated by data from online air traffic monitoring systems.
According to them, the aircraft, which departed from Andrews Air Force Base near Washington and transited through Riga, landed in Moscow at around 11:00 Baku time.
As a source in the European Union's air traffic control services told TASS, the plane, which initially arrived in Latvia from Andrews Air Force Base, did indeed depart from Riga toward the border with Russia. "The aircraft proceeded in the direction of the state border with Russia," the agency's interlocutor said. Prior to that, the source specified, the plane had also been at the Charleston airport.
