Norway's new king, the son of the late monarch Harald V, has taken the official name Haakon VIII.

The royal motto remained unchanged, the royal house reported.

"His Majesty King Haakon VIII — All for Norway," says the message on Facebook, to which a portrait of the new monarch is attached.
