NATO's Baltic countries plan to create a task force for protection against drones

German Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt announced plans by NATO countries with access to the Baltic Sea to create a joint task force to coordinate in countering threats from unmanned aerial vehicles, European media reported on Friday.

According to Dobrindt, it is necessary to create such a task force that would ensure a rapid exchange of information.

The media note that Germany has recently begun paying special attention to the issue of drone threats, since earlier in August a UAV carrying explosives was discovered at the Leipzig/Halle airport.
