Polish ambassador summoned to Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry
Poland's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Azerbaijan, Pawel Radomski, was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan.
During the meeting, the Azerbaijani side expressed a strong protest over a report aired on August 26, 2026, on Poland's public television channel TVP (TVP World) in the program "Eastern Express."
The Foreign Ministry stated that the report contained biased, non-objective and unacceptable claims directed against Azerbaijan and the country's leadership. In addition, the provocative manner of the program's host was noted. In this regard, a note of protest was handed to the Polish side.
The Azerbaijani foreign policy agency emphasized that the dissemination of distorted information raises questions for Baku at a time when the process of normalization and peace establishment between Azerbaijan and Armenia continues, and Azerbaijan is making efforts to ensure lasting peace, stability and security in the region.
The dissemination of negative content regarding Azerbaijan on a public broadcaster funded by the Polish government was regarded as an unfriendly step, contrary to the spirit of partnership between the two countries and capable of causing serious damage to bilateral relations.
The Polish side was called upon to take urgent and effective measures to put an end to such provocative campaigns directed against Azerbaijan.
