Trump on Hormuz: 'That damn strait is open'

U.S. President Donald Trump stated that the Strait of Hormuz is open.

"That damn strait is open. Iran's response was very restrained. They don't want us to strike them again. That's the whole picture. Everything else doesn't matter," Trump said in an interview with Axios.

Earlier, the head of U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), Brad Cooper, said in a video address that "internationally recognized shipping lanes in the strait are free of Iranian sea mines," calling the achievement "an important milestone."
