KCNA: North Korea tested cruise missiles with AI guidance
North Korea conducted tests of a new weapons system, including tactical cruise missiles with an artificial intelligence-based control system.
This is reported by the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA).
According to the agency, the country's leader Kim Jong Un observed the tests and positively assessed the results.
During the tests, the power of the warheads of tactical missiles, the reliability of the navigation systems of 240-mm guided rockets, and the accuracy of AI-guided cruise missiles were checked.
As KCNA notes, the new cruise missile is intended to equip long-range artillery units in the country's southern border areas and is capable of striking targets at a distance of up to 100 km.
North Korean authorities stated that the current international situation requires constant strengthening of the armed forces, and the course toward the development of nuclear and conventional weapons remains unchanged.
