Vugar Bayramov: Baku may soon switch to flexible work schedule
In Baku, a flexible work schedule may be introduced soon.
As Report reports, Milli Majlis deputy Vugar Bayramov stated this.
He noted that in accordance with the State Program for Improving the Transport Infrastructure of Baku and Adjacent Territories for 2025–2030, starting from 2026, the organization of work of state bodies, educational and medical institutions, as well as other legal and physical persons on the basis of a flexible schedule is envisaged.
Bayramov emphasized that preparatory work related to the introduction of the flexible schedule should be completed soon. "After this, a new work regime will be organized on the basis of lists approved by the Cabinet of Ministers," the deputy said.
According to him, in many developed countries, especially in Europe, a flexible work schedule is already applied and yields concrete results.
"Different start times of the workday allow distributing the transport load and reducing congestion during morning and evening peak hours. European experience shows that a flexible work schedule reduces traffic jams, distributes the load on public transport, increases labor productivity, and reduces pressure on urban infrastructure," noted V. Bayramov, adding that solving the transport congestion problem depends not only on expanding infrastructure but also on implementing other accompanying measures.
The deputy also emphasized that this year in Azerbaijan, in accordance with the state program, a phased change in working hours in various sectors is expected.
