Armenia to send humanitarian aid to Lebanon via Turkey
Armenia will send humanitarian aid to Lebanon through the territory of Turkey.
The corresponding decision was made at a meeting of the Armenian government on Thursday.
According to the resolution, the Margara checkpoint on the Armenian-Turkish border will be open from June 12 to 22 for the passage of humanitarian cargo. Judging by the government decision, this step has also been coordinated with the Turkish side.
As noted in the document, the decision was made to provide humanitarian assistance to residents of Lebanon, including representatives of the Armenian community, affected by Israeli attacks.
Recall that last year Turkey already opened the Margara border crossing for the delivery of humanitarian cargo from Armenia to Syria.
