David Khudatyan: At the moment Armenia is a member of the EAEU and that's it
On June 11, in a conversation with journalists in parliament, Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure David Khudatyan stated this, commenting on the words of Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov that Armenia needs to decide.
"The Armenian side has repeatedly commented on this issue. Armenia is currently a member of the EAEU. Our plans remain the same, and the prime minister has repeatedly presented these plans. That is, we are in the EAEU and that's it," he said.
Journalists asked why in that case the Russian side is not in a hurry to congratulate the ruling force "Civil Contract" on the victory. Khudatyan noted:
"There are countries that congratulate immediately. There are also those that do this after the announcement of the final election results," he said.
Commenting on Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's promise to visit Moscow immediately after the elections, Khudatyan recalled that there are no final election results, and, consequently, there is no approved schedule of the prime minister's foreign visits.
