Dursun Gasanov dies

Former extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of Azerbaijan to Georgia Dursun Gasanov has died.

As Medianews.az reports, he passed away in Baku, at his home.

The deceased will be buried on June 13 in the city of Baku.

It should be noted that Dursun Gasanov is from the Alget administrative-territorial unit of the Marneuli district. He is the son of Ayvaz Dursun oglu Gasanov, a state and party figure of the Georgian SSR, deputy of the Supreme Council.

Dursun Gasanov has been working in the diplomatic missions of Azerbaijan since 1993. In 2017-2020, he served as the extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of Azerbaijan to Georgia.
