EU defense ministers fail to agree on transferring Patriot missiles to Kyiv

EU defense ministers failed to agree on transferring to Kyiv the Patriot missile stocks remaining in individual member states in exchange for future deliveries.

This was stated by EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas at a press conference following the meeting of European Union defense ministers.

"No new decisions on the transfer of missiles were made today," Kallas said. According to her, the EU has one last option left — that individual EU countries "will hand over their remaining stocks to Ukraine in order to then receive new deliveries paid for from the 90 billion euro military financing fund for Ukraine."
